Trauma is a fact of life. It happens to the best of us, our friends, our families, and our neighbors. Fortunately, humans are resilient. Still, traumatic experiences leave scars on our bodies and our minds. These scars can’t speak through words. So as a species, we’ve learned to listen and understand our unspeakable pain through the creative arts. My therapy works with the creative souls in all of my clients, from dormant creatives to full-fledged, professional artists. I believe that everyone has an artist inside of them. Art and creativity are the guide that leads us to healing and solace.
Talk therapy is a good a way to get to know you, your everyday coping mechanisms, and identify your goals. We go deeper with creative arts such as drawing and writing, as well as working with the body and mindfulness. Most importantly, you will experience the sense of being understood and seen in the mind and heart of a loving, attuned human being.
